ABSTRACT:
Today's enterprise is going mobile. Anticipating improved productivity and customer service, enterprises are seeking mobile solutions that enable workers to stay connected to central information and applications like ERP and CRM systems while in the field or on the go. With numerous mobile devices and operating systems available for consideration, business and IT managers must perform a comprehensive TCO analysis taking into account systems integration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance costs as well as security policies when devising a mobile enterprise strategy.
This webinar takes a practical, solutions-oriented approach and looks at how business and IT managers can mobilize line of business applications while minimizing TCO. Recent low power processor and 3G wireless technology advancements are enabling a new category of handheld devices called ultra mobile PCs (UMPCs). Running full Windows XP or Vista, UMPCs are ideal for enterprises looking to mobilize their enterprise applications while maintaining compatibility with their existing IT infrastructure and workflows. UMPC adoption is gaining momentum in key vertical and field service industries including transportation & logistics, energy & utilities, retail & CPG, and local & federal government agencies.
