ABSTRACT:
When a single physical server goes offline and you lose a web server, it is bad enough.
When a single physical host virtual server goes offline, and you lose multiple virtual web servers, it is a whole different ballgame.
In this Webcast, Burton Group virtualization expert Andrew Kutz describes what is required to adequately monitor a virtual infrastructure. He will:
- Evaluate available vendor solutions to monitor a virtualized infrastructure
- Explain the important of Hypervisor or virtual machine monitors (VMMs)
- Describe how to understand the gathered performance metrics
Just because a service has been virtualized, doesn't put you in the clear. Software has its own share of problems. Check out this Webcast to learn about:
How proper monitoring affects the health of the overall virtual infrastructure
The many tools and solutions available to monitor a virtual infrastructure
How to use the data gathered by monitoring solutions to protect your company from possibly massive financial losses due to underutilization
